O Piano

Synopsis

Piódão is a village of schist, of solitude, with old men with sad eyes, a village that raises pigs that produce ham, medronho that produces aguardente and children that produce emigrants. Then, one fine morning, the village is shaken out of its stagnation thanks to a gift from one of its most beloved sons: the commendator Albino Silveira decides to give the land a piano. A child discovers music. The village fool discovers the piano and burns it for warmth. The absurd finds its justification.
