Synopsis

A community near Lisbon, between 15 and 26 April 1974, in which the typical family and local organisation of fascism is shown as being in place. In opposition, a group of progressive young people seeks to break through the stagnation and hypocrisy through de-alienating cultural activity, and even open political intervention—provoking a coordinated reaction from the authorities and their repressive apparatus. However, police interception, domestic anger, and attempts at disruption are overcome by friendly protection, fraternal solidarity, and collective resistance, leading to the dawn of liberation.
