Synopsis
Traveling by car to Sintra, a mysterious lady who arrived in Lisbon by ship is involved in an accident. Among the people attending a party at the Marquise de Souzel's estate, who come to her rescue, a young woman recognizes her mother - the Viscountess Maria de Oliveira, a wealthy married woman from Brazil whose father had been the hostess's caretaker.
