O Mal-Amado

Synopsis

João, a young man around 25 years old, decides to drop his studies just before his military service. Soares, his father – a dedicated civil servant with influential friendships – finds him a job as a transition. Placed in a section for women, his boss – Inês –, taking advantage, projects a frustrated passion for her brother, killed in the colonial war, onto João while he starts dating Leonor, a co-worker. A melodrama is born: Inês ends up shooting him in a mere burst of jealousy.
