Synopsis
At the beginning of the 1940s, Lisbon was a cosmopolitan city, the hope of many refugees in transit and a nest of spies fighting for secret information about military operations in Nazi-occupied France. Among the personalities passing through Lisbon at the time were famous aristocrats like the Duke of Windsor and Primo Rivera, mythical film stars like Pola Negri and Leslie Howard, ambiguous international espionage figures like Walter Schellenberg and Juan Garcia and an unmistakable couple from Casablanca. Are so many meetings and intrigues mere coincidences dictated by Portugal's neutrality in the war, or are they some of the most delicate diplomatic secrets that Salazar's political police were forced to hide?
