Synopsis
Set in a typical Lisbon neighborhood, Alfama. Renato is a braggart, the black sheep of the family; he seduces Rosa, who becomes pregnant. Renato's brother offers to help Rosa by marrying her so that the child doesn't come from an illegitimate father. Renato ends up repenting and taking an interest in Rosa again. His brother, a fisherman, leaves Lisbon by boat.
