Synopsis
After reading Jorge Dias, the directors set off for Vilar de Perdizes, where they made two more films. Terra de Abril follows the preparations and performance of an Auto Paixão de Cristo, which is intercut with other aspects of daily life in the village and its inhabitants. Oscillating between color (the performance of the Auto) and black and white (everything else), this is also a chronicle of a village with a strong tradition of emigration at election time.
Digitisation
Digitization by Cinemateca Portuguesa - Museu do Cinema, under the scope of the Recovery and Resilience Plan. A measure integrated into the Next Generation EU program.
