Synopsis
The establishment of the Portuguese Republic (1910) and the decline of the democratic regime, leading to the installation of the dictatorship, later overthrown by the 25 April Revolution. Street scenes, celebrations of the 5 October Revolution, and 6 October portrayed as a symbolic day of popular labour dedicated to national reconstruction.
